Fengwang continues the disposable gloves (PVC/nitrile latex/household glove, etc.) production line design, installation, debugging, and other projects. Because of different glove materials, the production line may vary. The following is a description of the differences between the production lines for PVC and nitrile gloves.
1. Differences in raw materials
The raw material of PVC gloves is polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the chemical agent added is generally a plasticizer, without solvent. Because PVC gloves contain plasticizers, they are not suitable for use in the medical field.
Nitrile gloves are raw materials of nitrile rubber (NBR), adding chemical agents for vulcanizing agents, accelerators, etc. In addition, acetone may also be required to play an auxiliary dispersion role. Regarding environmental protection, nitrile gloves do not contain plasticizers and are more suitable for the medical and food industries.
2. Production process differences
Both PVC glove production and nitrile glove production require dip molding, but the specific process is different. PVC gloves are cured by hot air drying and do not require vulcanization. The curing temperature is about 80-120℃, and the energy consumption is relatively low.
Nitrile glove production line needs to increase the process of high-temperature vulcanization furnace because the vulcanization time is relatively long, so the production cycle is longer than PVC gloves. Usually, the vulcanization temperature is 130-160℃, and the energy consumption is higher.
3. Device configuration differences
PVC glove manufacturing line latex tank should be resistant to plasticizer corrosion, drying system using a hot air drying box.
The latex tank of the making machine of nitrile gloves shall be resistant to chemical solvent corrosion, and the drying system shall be a vulcanized furnace (high-temperature drying channel).
4. Environmental protection versus cost differences
PVC gloves production line raw material cost is lower, the process is simpler than nitrile gloves manufacturing process, so the price of PVC is cheaper than nitrile gloves. PVC gloves are subject to plasticizer regulations (e.g., REACH, FDA) in terms of environmental protection.
The raw material of nitrile glove production line is nitrile rubber, which has a high production cost and a more complex process than PVC gloves, so the investment cost of nitrile glove production equipment is high, and the price is relatively high. Nitrile gloves are more environmentally friendly and comply with strict medical standards, such as EN455.
How to Choose a Glove Production Line
As for the choice of glove production line, Li Jianqiang, general manager of Fengwang, said it depends on personal budget and the positioning of target customers. PVC glove production line is suitable for low cost, high volume production. PVC gloves are used in general protection scenarios, but the environmental protection is poor. Nitrile glove production line is suitable for high-end application scenarios, such as medical use, laboratory use, etc., gloves have excellent chemical resistance, but high investment and operating costs.
In addition to contracting the turnkey project of the glove production line, Fengwang Tech is also responsible for rerouting or optimizing the production line process and machinery.
